Welcome to downloadpro.org - your only source for the fastest and most secure download of new media online!

I've got some information that might interest you. I can teach you how to download all new releases - movies, games, software, music, etc. - with the use of all your entire bandwidth. Nothing will be shared from your PC and it is completely legal and safe for you! I'm doing this to share my knowledge because I hate people who try to be soooo “elite” and don't want to tell others how they get their “warez”.

I've written an easy to read FAQ for you to use for free – happy downloading!

Why is this better than other file sharing applications like Kazaa, Edonkey, Bittorrent or DC++ ?

The speed is awesome, you never get fake files and all data transfer is encrypted! You also don't have to share anything with others. You use all of your bandwidth to get the media you want. Take me for example: On my 12mbit VDSL I have at home, I get 1.29 MEGABYTES/second on average using only 8 concurrent connections! That is quite ok, isn't it? :-)

How does it work?

This technology uses a news client (read further down) and an account at a news hosting provider (read further down).

News is the oldest way of distributing content online and is here to stay. People haven't used it commonly because it has been fairly difficult to set up and configure, in some ways it is also fairly difficult to find the content you are looking for. If you don't know how to, that is, and that's exactly what I'm teaching you in this FAQ!

What is “news”?

“News” or “newsgroups” are in fact discussion lists posted on the so called Usenet. Users read and post e-mail -like messages (called "articles") to a number of distributed newsgroups , categories that resemble bulletin board systems in most respects. The medium is distributed among a large number of servers, which store and forward messages to one another. Individual users download and post messages to a single server, usually operated by their ISP or university, and the servers exchange the messages between each other. Files can be distributed through newsgroups, much like when you enclose a document to an e-mail. There are newsgroups about virtually everything –including new releases like games, movies and applications! Starting to understand where we're getting? :-)

What is “warez”?

“Warez” (plural) is slang for (pirated) copyrighted material released (on the Internet) for others to download and use.

What are a “release” and a “release group”?

A “release” is one “ware”, i.e. any copyrighted media like games, movies, applications, TV-rips or console. “Release groups” (a.k.a “warez groups”) are organizations that release “warez”. The forum for releasing warez is called “the scene” or “the warez scene”, and the release groups compete with each other to be the first to release a certain game, movie, etc.

How do “warez” get online?

Warez get online when the first release group puts it on “the scene”. “The scene” primarily uses FTP-sites. From these sites, the warez are later transferred to newsgroups, P2P-networks, IRC, etc.

The release groups might for example be friends or family of or have a member who is a journalist receiving media for review in work purposes or an employee of a software company. This media is then later released by this group for you to download.

Another way is for you to purchase and distribute your own copy. However, when you are able to buy your copy, a release group has released your media long time ago.

How do I find out what is “released”?

There are many ways to find out what has recently been released, the information is freely distributed on many online forums. Those I use are listed here:

www.nforce.nl – Games, applications, movies, TV-rips, console, XXX
www.theisonews.com – same as above.
www.vcdquality.com – info about movie releases from low quality CAMs or telesyncs to full DVD-rips. Only releases in English.
www.swedupe.com – Console, DVD-R, TV-rips, XVID. Also contains releases for other languages than English.
www.console-news.org – Console.

What are “CAMs” and “Telesyncs”, and what do terms like “Proper”, “Repack” or “Internal” in the name of the release mean?

How I made my first download within ten minutes, amazingly easy and fast

Enter the Server Address: news-europe.giganews.com and don't forget to check the login box.

Give it a name. I gave mine Giganews.

Enter the Username and Password provided to you in an email from Giganews!

In the Server options select the number of concurrent connections (diamond gives you 20!). Enter your Username and Password.

When all is configured you simply select “Search”, make sure to remove the Compact View checkbox. Search for your content and select all the files of that release and simply download! It´s as easy as that!

On my 12mbit vdsl i have at home, i get on average 1.34 MEGABYTES/second using only 8 concurrent connections.

When you have start searching for your files you will see that there are some .par2 files lying together with every release that you come across. The reason for this is data recovery (similar to raid systems)! To be able to repair your downloaded data if some of it did not complete, you can easily repair it using the .par2 files! So, our recommendation is download the main .par2 file, execute it immediately when commencing download. You will see this:

After a while, you will start noticing what files are corrupt. Download the specific .par2 file, when download is finished. It will repair the broken download so you can unpack it to start using your file!
